These images were scanned from 35mm film negatives and photos. They are historical documents that depict men of the 354th Fighter Group, Ninth Air Force in Europe during World War II. Known as the "Pioneer Mustang Group", these men distinguished themselves in the cold unforgiving skies over Europe. In support of these men was the greatest team of technical specialist who held enormous responsibilities, these men sweated the missions too... they maintained America's instruments of war that would ultimately defeat Hitler's Luftwaffe and Axis armies. The 354thpmfg.com website gratefully acknowledges and thanks William W. Louie for the use of these images. A native of Salt Lake City, Will served with the 356th Fighter Squadron.

Future William W. Louie galleries are currently in progress.
